Manga Fashion du jour

Since I have been looking at Manga illustrations, I have noticed a strong similarity between the style of Manga and the styles of people’s clothing. Blouses, dresses, and jackets are cut so that they flow and have long corners that billow in the wind. Further the hem is not a straight line parallel to the ground; hems are fashioned to slope at a flowing angle to the ground. Blouses feature tucks and pleats which give them a softer, flowing quality. The fabrics of blouses are full of flowers similar to the flowers that abound in Manga illustrations. People’s hair is also cut different. Aside from the horrible crew cuts that I can’t abide, many people are styling their hair so that it has artful, soft spikes that frame the face. People have Manga hair! People are dressed in Manga! I like it!

This requires a poll. Take the Manga Fashion Poll.
